It is Favorite Photo Friday Week #5
The only photo entered last week was mine , so here it is ....
I am guessing perhaps there is not a need for this in the blogging world - as we aren't getting much traffic. But, I will stick with it for a few more weeks.
Let's see if we can get it off the ground and have a few more participants. So let's spread the word. If you visit a site that has great photo's ask them to link up so we can get some ideas and become better at what we love to do, take pictures!
Here are some guidelines - NOT RULES - just to give you some ideas!
1. Select your favorite photo of the week (one that you took).
2. Create a blog post about it on Friday Saturday or Sunday.
Copy and paste the badge and link back to this page.
Share with us as many details as you are able using the following questions as a guide. You can share as little or as much info as you can. But remember, tell us something about how you got the shot, the purpose of this is so we can learn from one another.
*Camera type:
*Lens (if an SLR)
*Settings (most digital software programs have this info on each picture)
*Was this a posed or random shot?
*Did you use any special lighting or techniques?
*Is this SOOC (straight out of the camera?)
*Did you edit it?
If so please share the original shot as well.
Then tell us what you did and what program you used.
*Why is this your favorite shot of the week.
3. Once you publish your post, come back here and enter the link for that post. McLinky will be open between Friday morning (5am til Sunday 1159pm EST)
4. Visit as many participants as you can. Talk to one another, leave comments regarding the shot and the content. Ask and answer questions they might have. The goal here is to help us improve our photography, not just receiveaccolades.
5. Come back here between Sunday and Wednesday and leave a comment on this post telling me of all the posts you visited - which one was your favorite.I will then post that photo on this page - next week.

I participate in some of the Iheartfaces themes, but they are so huge that it is almost too much. Now I have tried Spiritual Sundays...love the Christian based group. There is someone who does "Perfect Pixal" where they show edits. I've learned a lot but never have entered. Sometimes I am just not organized! One tip I have seen others dealing with...the permalink problem. Now on I heartfaces, they delete your entry if it doesn't link to the right thing. I guess that makes sense. Your site is so well done...I hope you hang in there a bit longer! Your heron shot is very nice, by the way! :-)
Hi - just found your site via your post at Mosaic Monday. I grabbed your button and put it on my Playing Along site (www.memeplay.blogspot.com) where I'm posting theme posts. Seems like there are a lot of favorite things and photo memes for Fridays, so there might just be too much competition. So if traffic doesn't pick up, before abandoning the concept, you might try a different day.
Valerie, this is an excellent idea, just give it more time to grow. I keep meaning to join in but forget during week. I'm sure other need some time to get in the groove too!
